So much laundry so little time... So this post is a little embarrassing for me, to show you how my laundry has piled up. I don't mind washing the laundry , I just hate folding it and putting it away. As you can imagine with 7 people in the house it tends to add up. When it's all caught up I tell myself to do a load a day and that will last for a couple days. Then something will happen and I forget and then its starts all over again. It took me all weekend to get this pile folded and then that's not even putting it away.

On a good note, well sort of , June is here and it's still raining and the end of the school year is approaching faster and faster. So this weather better change real quick or else there goes my plans to keep the kids outside all summer. Next week is their last of school, and that is the same day we take off to Pendleton to stay in a tipi for the weekend and enjoy our family reunion. So lets pray for warm weather. I plan to keep the kids real busy this summer. It will be the first summer that Shane and I have been at home together with the kids everyday. I'm looking forward to spending family time together, and maybe even some nice camping trips too!

Have a blast yourself and thanks for visiting!!

Denali's Head Start Graduation

The school year has come to an end for Miss Denali. She graduated head start and gets to move onto kindergarten next year. She is the third girl to complete the Siletz Tribal Head Start in our home, with hopes of the boys to complete it in the years to come. It was a big day for the children. They had a ceremony with cupcakes and juice afterwards .

Yes I made all 100+ cupcakes for this event and did all the decorations as well. This was in the same week as Liza's party, and my cousins baby shower. For that, I also made the cake and it too was at my house. Oh, and don't let me forget to mention the cold I was fighting on top of it all, AND dealing with trying to get Sedona into the dentist for the filling she lost while eating her cereal. What a week! I'm sure glad that it has come to an end...so that the next one can come at us in full swing!

The kids are getting excited for the school year to end. On the other hand, I'm a little freaked out. I'll be left with five energetic kids that seem to have nothing to do, even though all the kids in the neighborhood are at our home everyday during the summer. I hope to keep them entertained with walks to the school and outings to the Zoo and other fun stuff. Oh yes...don't forget the disposable pool that we buy every year! That will keep them entertained for hours.

Oh My, The Month Of May!!!!....Liza's Party!

Surprise Party at my house for Liza's Birthday!!! We Had chicken and beef enchiladas, Spanish rice, black beans and homemade pico de gallo. The cake I made which is my favorite one so far was lime and strawberry margarita. With strawberry -lime frosting and real strawberry's in the middle so YUMMY!!! The weather was nice all day until of course it was time for the party, then all the showers came down. So we had to all move inside to our small living room. It all worked in the end and turned out to be a wonderful evening with friends and her family. For you who don't know, Liza is my best friend and I'm glad I could share another great birthday with her!

Oh My, The Month Of May!!!!

These are the cute
little monkey chia pets we made at Dominik's party. Fun and cheap project to do with the kids. All we did was take a knee high, put some grass seed in, then the soil next. Tied it in a knot and used a hot glue gun for the eyes , ears , nose, and they have tails out the back. We then drew the mouth on, got it wet and placed it in a cup of water and WAH-LAH, we have hair! The cool thing is you can give them hair cuts too. Just remember to keep water in the cup at all times.

Mother's Day Fun!

Hello friends,

I hope you all got pampered for Mother's Day, and enjoyed your time with your family and friends! I had a fabulous day enjoying the sun. The kids decided that it was warm enough to have a water fight. What started out as just a water balloon fight turned into a super-soaking contest! The kids gave us all great entertainment. I loved all my hand made gifts from each of my school aged children. Also, today I got to join Denali's preschool class for a mothers tea & breakfast, where they gifted us with decorated picture frames that the dads helped them with a couple of weeks ago....priceless.

I can't believe next week is Denali's last day of preschool! They get to have a graduation and the nice person that I am, volunteered to make the cupcakes. What did I get my self into? I thought, 'oh it will be easy it 's just cupcakes', then I found out how many they needed. One hundred is what she told me. I was like, 'ok I can do this', then I remembered I have a baby shower cake to make that week as well. I can do it right? I guess I will find out next week.

Thanks again for all the support of my followers, please feel free to leave any comments you wish.

Take care.....until next time!

Naked Birthday Boys and Yummy Cakes!

Hello Friends.

Thanks to all of you that have joined me on my blog; "Mommy of 5". Some of you already know me and know that my life is crazy. So where do I begin for today ? Oh yeah, our youngest son Dominik took some of his first steps today using a toy he got for his birthday on Sunday. The thing is, he decided to do it naked, (yes I got black mail pictures) and well all his sisters think it's the funniest thing. So my question is ...is that ok ? Do I laugh with them? Or say 'thats not funny' as I laugh to myself on the inside? On a good note he is learning to walk. Soon he'll start to climb the counters with his brother.

Also today when I picked up Denali who is in preschool, her teacher told me that she had got in trouble today. They are taking swim lessons and when she was told to get out of the pool, she would not get out. Denali is VERY stubborn so this came to me as no surprise. What did come to me as a surprise is that her teacher said it was her first time all year of getting in trouble!! Who is this child when she is at school??? She is the biggest trouble maker in this house!!! Oh wait I know, the teachers bribe the kids if they are good. They get gum! Hmmmm... maybe I should try this. With my luck it would backfire on me and they would end up with it all in their hair and under the kitchen table. Oh the joys of being a parent!!!!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot to tell you about the pictures that I have posted. That is the cake I made for Dominik's 1st birthday. It is the 'Mod Monkey' theme that I found from birthdayexpress.com. I love this theme. It was so cute and can be used for boy or girl. I also made lemon sugar cookies that were monkey faces and and #1's. I was very proud of all my hard work as I have only been learning special techniques on making cake for about 2 months now, and have picked it up as my hobby which I just love!!!! The second picture is him in his monkey hat just being, well ... a monkey. Ok, well I hope that you have enjoyed my entry today and I look forward to any comments or questions.

Thanks again for joining me on my blog.

Welcome to my Blog!!

Hello to all my friends that have stopped by to check out my blog. I have decided to give you a look at my life of raising my five beautiful, creative , and rambunctious children. Everyday is always an adventure here in the Williams household. Starting with my oldest child is Lexus Renee she is 9, next is Sedona Rose she is 8, Denali Rae is 4, Jerome Cruz is 2 and our youngest just turned 1, Dominik Kane. They are all very different in style and personality. I'm sure before you know it you will all know them very well. I feel that sometimes I could use a little advice on certain things in raising my children, i'm sure you all feel the same sometimes. I think this is a nice start to giving and receiving advice on raising a family. I look forward to all your comments and suggestions. Please feel free to follow this blog to join us on our daily adventures. Thanks for all freindships, old and new.
